Instinct and Common Sense.... they don't always mesh.
Instinct: While holding projectile vomitting toddler, run frantically through the house trying to get to somewhere he can throw up and not dirty the couch, the carpet, the clothes....
Common Sense: While toddler is vomitting, one should not run with him as it will splatter more!
EVERY time it happened, instinct prevailed. DAMNIT!
